My name is Jim Sigmone, and this shop is more than a business to me — it’s my family’s legacy.
My father started this business in Tarpon Springs in 1975. Over the next 15 years, we expanded to six locations, and in 1985 we opened the Hudson location where I am today. For nearly 50 years, our family has been serving this community the same way we always have — with honesty, quality, and old-world values.
About 12 years ago, my father retired, and I took over the business. Before that, I operated my own location in Palm Harbor for 10 years. This industry is in my blood. It’s what I know, and it’s what I care about.
Today, we are still a true family operation. My son is our chef and runs our kitchen, producing over 100 prepared meals daily. My wife handles HR, front-of-house operations, and our POS systems. My daughter-in-law works as a cashier. My brother is one of our butchers. When you walk through our doors, you are seeing multiple generations working together.
And many of our customers are multi-generational too.
I now see 40- and 50-year-olds who used to come in when they were 9 or 10 years old with their parents. Now they’re bringing their own children — and even grandchildren. That means everything to me.
When you shop here, you’re not dealing with a stranger behind a name tag. I’m here. I have to see you tomorrow. That’s why I won’t sell you something I wouldn’t feed my own family.
Our philosophy has always been simple:
Give the best quality product at the most reasonable price — without ever lowering the standard.
In today’s world, people think saving money means buying a cheaper product. I don’t believe that. If you take home something that’s tough, filled with preservatives, or treated with vague “solutions,” you didn’t save money. You just compromised quality.
We don’t do that here.
All of our meats are cut in-house. Nothing is shipped to us pre-cut in gas-filled packaging to extend shelf life. Our chicken is all natural, with no preservatives and no hormones. Our beef is properly graded. We do not inject or enhance products to artificially increase weight.
We believe in doing things the old-world way.
That means full-service cutting to your specifications. Thicker steaks? Special roasts? Custom sausage blends? We do it. One item or ten. Family packs or individual portions. We wrap according to your household size.
We also serve homesteaders and families who raise their own livestock. Bring us your properly field-dressed animal, and we’ll process, grind, portion, and package everything exactly how you want it.
In addition to our butcher counter, we offer a full-service deli with over 100 items, homemade salads prepared in-house, and catering for gatherings large and small. Our kitchen produces 100 to 150 prepared meals daily — real meals made the way you would cook them at home, portioned and frozen for convenience.
I’ve built this business around relationships.
When you walk in, there’s a good chance we’ll greet you by name. My staff knows most of our customers. It feels less like a supermarket and more like walking into a friend’s living room.
That’s intentional.
In a world that chases convenience and mass production, we’ve chosen to protect quality and personal service. We are federally inspected and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism, but we’ve never lost the personal touch that built this shop in the first place.
This isn’t just a store.
It’s my family’s work.
It’s our reputation.
And it’s our commitment to this community.
I look forward to serving you.
